Description

A series of weekends in beautiful Beechworth, packed with fun and enriching music sessions for ukulele enthusiasts who love to sing in harmony, and also for those who would like to learn!

Participants will come away from each session with well-prepared lyric/chord charts and sheet music, as well as access to recordings of exercises, harmony parts and songs at various speeds to assist with successful playing at home or in your own music groups.

Each B.U.W. after February will feature 1-2 new songs per session, and there'll be an opportunity to revisit songs from previous months, culminating with the June weekend where we'll focus on recording our favourites.


Session times are:

SATURDAY

Beginners Ukulele, 9.30-11am, all the basics to get you started

Morning tea (provided), 11-11.30am

Easy Ukulele, 11.30am-1pm, songs with 1-3 chords in 2-3 part harmony

BYO Lunch, 1-2pm

Intermediate Ukulele, 2-4pm, songs to develop specific ukulele skills in 2-4 part harmony, with afternoon tea


SUNDAY

Ukulele Picking Ensemble, 9-10.30am, suits skill levels from Easy to Intermediate

Morning tea (provided), 10.30-11am

Songfest!, 11am-12.30pm, put away the ukes and develop your singing voice with some fun, joyous, soulful and uplifting songs in 2-4 part harmony


FEES

Single ukulele sessions $20

Songfest! $15

Weekend pass (as many sessions as you like) $50


BRING

Ukulele, tuner, music stand, pen/pencil, notebook, water bottle, recording devices very welcome
