Event description

Description

The past six years we have held a Girls Night In, in Whyalla, this year we will be holding my sixth event.

Last year 2016 we raised $4,015. In 2015, we raised $4,087.00. In 2014 we raised $3500. 2013 I was able to raise over $2900, 2012 I was able to raise over $1100.00, this year I hope to raise over $4,500.00. In total we have managed to raise $15,785!

On the night of the event I have local small businesses/hobby businesses attend as stall holders to help support their local community and Cancer Council SA.

The fight against cancer goes on. There is no one I know who can say they DO NOT have a friend or relative that has battled this terrible disease. I have found a way to fight against cancer and raise awareness through The Cancer Council’s “Girls Night In”.

Girls Night In is an event that celebrates cancer survivors, and raises funds for the South Australian Cancer Council for research, education, prevention, advocacy and patient services. It is a fun, evening, where ladies get together and support one another, sharing stories, battles lost and battles won! Sharing to help raise awareness through the community of Whyalla! Games and Quizzes will be played to make the evening enjoyable and to share some laughs amongst friends.

I am hoping more than 100 ladies will attend this event and already have Stall holders available to attend. We will be joined by thousands of other Women attending “Girls Nights In’s around Australia in October.

With a DJ for extra entertainment, and the stall holders, we also play lots of fun games to help celebrate life.

Girls Night’s In’s, raise money to support women and their families with treatment, accommodation, patient services, everyday bills and utilities often taken for granted. Help fund, helplines, information call centres, counselling, information booklets and awareness.
