Becoming a Typsy Community Instructor is an online webinar designed to teach the hospitality community how to film and submit their very own lesson to Typsy. In this 1hr webinar, our Head of Content and Talent Manager will walk you through some key tips to help you film your own video lesson. The key topics to be covered include:

  • What is a community content lesson?
  • How to come up with an idea & plan what to say
  • Top tips for filming a video using a smartphone
  • How to present well on camera
  • The do’s and don’t of creating a community content lesson
  • How to submit your video to Typsy
  • Top Tips from past instructors

You'll learn best practice techniques as well as hear stories from past Typsy Community Content instructors. You will walk away equipped to film your very own Typsy lesson, as well as how to upload it to our platform. All of your questions will be answered live and you will be given resources to explore the system further.

How it works


Use the button at the top right-hand side to secure your place in our webinar. You’ll be sent a confirmation email with a link to your session.

Participate in the webinar

Join and participate in the webinar at your selected time! Within your registration email click "Go to online event page" to be taken to the event page with the link to join the webinar session. During the session, you'll be able to discuss your ideas, as well as ask questions and have them answered live.

What’s next?

The webinar will be hosted on the video communication platform Zoom. Simply install Zoom (it’s free) and ensure that when you join each webinar you have a webcam and microphone setup and ready before the start time. Don’t have a webcam? You can always join via your mobile device (including camera).

When it is time for the meeting to start, click "View now" from within the confirmation email that is sent to you after registering.
