Description

With the successful relaunch of BeBright in 2017, we are pleased to annouce that we are back again in 2018 with an expanded program.

We are excited to announce that our presenters for this year are Kylie Wicks, Donna Heggie and Wendy White.

Our program will consist of the below three segments:

  • Neurogenic Related Incontinence (Urinary and Faecal) and Product Prescription presented by Kylie Wicks
  • Incontinence Associated Dermatitis presented by Donna Heggie
  • Wound Care and Product Prescription presented by Wendy White

Registration will commence at 8:15am for a 9am start.

Presenter Bios:

Kylie Wicks MN(Research), BHlth, DipAppSc(Nursing)

Kylie is a Clinical Nurse Consultant in spinal cord injury and general continence and currently the General Manager Clinical Services ParaQuad NSW. Kylie has a Master of Nursing Research that focused on Nursing knowledge and catheter selection. Winner of the 2013 NSW Disability Industry Innovation Awards, Emerging Leader category, for the development of product selection tools to assist health professionals prescribe the most suitable continence products. Kylie has continued to develop tools in product selection and regularly provides training in neurogenic related continence assessments.


Donna Heggie RN, STN, Grad Cert Clinical Teaching,Continence Management Certificate

Donna is the Centre Manager, Continence Foundation of Australia in NSW Inc. Donna has a long nursing career specialising in Stomal Therapy and Continence/ Colorectal Nursing at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. Currently she manages the CFA in NSW Inc. office in Newington. A position held since February 2015. Donna is also a member of the CFA National Bladder Bowel Collaborative Steering Committee.


Wendy White MWoundCare. BEd. Plast Cert. MCNA FAWMA (Wounds Australia)

Wendy is a Director, Educator & Advanced Practice Nurse (Wendy White WoundCare) based in New South Wales (NSW). She has over 25 years of experience in the speciality with past clinical / educational roles of lead / senior nurse in two of the early ‘wound clinics’ established in Melbourne Victoria and nurse consultant roles in chronic wound research projects and interdisciplinary chronic wound services.

She has provided wound consultancy, education and course advisory roles with the Wound Foundation of Australia and Monash University and supported the industry in consultancy and education in the South Pacific region.
