From the post-war era, bands have played clubs, pubs, halls, theatres, churches and homes the length and breadth of the inner north.
Iain McIntyre and Teishan Ahearne will explore the history of Darebin’s live music venues, taking us from the early twentieth century to the present day, and spanning its rich mix of genres and styles ranging from Rebetika, Italian cabaret and Eastern European tunes, through to jazz, country, indie, punk, folk and pop. Special guests, psych-folk improvisers Cold Hands Warm Heart will join the conversation and perform live.
