Learn how to play the Djembe and percussion instruments over 10 weeks in a fun and natural environment.

About this event

Research has shown that playing music is not only cohesive to positive mental wellness but improves academic performance, increases focus and attention and improves social competencies such as listening and sharing. It has been proven to increase levels of collaboration and cooperation, reduce anxiety, increase memory retention and increase levels of empathy.

Come join us in a natural bush setting in Tallebudgera Valley for a Djembe circle program based around the Rhythm2Recovery method that utilises rhythmic drumming, chanting, percussion and movement.

Over the 10 weeks (you may book less sessions if you cannot make the full 10) you will acquire basic Djembe drumming techniques, develop a greater appreciation for the beat of life and make new friends.

This is a family friendly event. Cost is per drum. You are welcome to share a drum but for full benefit it is recommended that individuals are involved with a drum throughout the whole session.

Have your own drum. Contact us for a reduced ticket price.
