About this event
The BEAT-CKD Annual Research Forum is for patients, family members, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers with an interest in conducting and implementing research to improve outcomes for people with chronic kidney disease. This open forum is conducted online over two days, and provides a unique opportunity to hear and discuss innovative methods, high-priority research projects, and to meet potential collaborators.
This forum will be facilitated by the BEAT-CKD pillars:
- Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN)
- Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry (ANZDATA)
- Kidney Health Australia – Caring for Australasians with Renal Impairment (KHA-CARI) Guidelines
- Cochrane Kidney and Transplant
The goals of the forum are:
- To reflect on the BEAT-CKD successes and achievements over the last five years
- To build capacity in current and future clinical and population health research applied to chronic kidney disease
- To share future projects and collaborations arising from the BEAT-CKD program
- To develop a shared research agenda among all relevant stakeholders, especially among patients and their caregivers
