Be Your Best Self on Video Calls
Event Information
About this Event
A few years ago, we might have used Skype to call a family member in a far-flung place - today, we conduct much of our business via video.
Very few people have ever had formal training on how to host, participate and present using video.
Ben Campbell from The Self Made Theory has more than 20 years of experience in the videoconferencing industry, and in this workshop, he walks you through how to be a great presenter on video (& participant too). Ben will cover:
- How to engage effectively
- The importance of body language
- Presenting content (i.e. PowerPoint)
- Your Background and Environment
- Being "present" on a call
- Microphones
- Cameras
- Technology Placement
- Lighting
This won't be a "Death by PowerPoint" session - it will include practical demonstrations. You will walk away from this workshop with:
- A clear understanding of what DOES & DOESN'T work in a video call
- Best-practice tips on setting up your technology.
- How to make a video call be as engaging as an in-person presentation/meeting.
