About this Event
Are you over 50 and in need of technology assistance? Perhaps you have some questions about using your iPad or tablet? Is there something you would like to do on a computer - or online - but don't know how? Maybe you just need some guidance with your smartphone?
Whatever the issue, we can help! Funded by the Australian Government's Be Connected Network and brought to you by IT 4 Retirees, we have a limited number of in-person technology assistance appointments available on Wednesday 27th and Friday 29th January at Lionel Bowen Library, Maroubra.
These appointments are FREE however online bookings are essential. A maximum of 2 people may attend the appointment (room capacity: max. 3 people including trainer).
Our tech expert is Ian Cuthbertson from IT 4 Retirees, who you may be familiar with from the Talking Tech live online webinar events hosted by Randwick City Library during 2020.
BYO device (and passwords!)
Please bring your device to the appointment, along with your password information. You do not need to disclose your passwords or confidential information to the trainer. If a password is required you will be asked to enter it. If you are bringing your iPhone or iPad, remember your Apple ID and password information. You may also need to log into your email, so please know your email account password.

Please note:
As per NSW Health advice, it is strongly recommended that visitors to our libraries wear a face mask and register on entry. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available in the appointment room and surfaces will be cleaned between appointments. There are no coffee/tea breaks during the event. COVID-19 Safety Terms & Conditions:
- If you have visited a designated hotspot as specified by NSW Health, please do NOT attend the event. Call the library for further information.
- If you are feeling ill or exhibiting symptoms, you need to stay home.
- Each event space within Randwick City Council is subject to capacity numbers;
- Physical distancing is to be maintained at all times;
- Practicing good hygiene is an expectation of all customers (e.g. washing your hands regularly, coughing into your elbow, disinfecting surfaces you've touched, etc.);
- Patrons may be denied entry to, or removed from the event for any failure to comply with the above terms and conditions.

Event Terms and Conditions:
- Bookings are essential. We are unable to accommodate participants who have not made a booking.
- If you are unable to attend please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the program.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
- Your ticket can be cancelled by the organiser at any time without further notice.
- Tickets are limited to one per person for this series of appointments, inclusive 27th-29th January 2021.
- Tickets are not transferrable.
