Be a Community Connector!
Event Information
About this Event
The program will proactively respond to people living in isolation, reducing the incidence of severe and persistent mental illness. We believe that with the right support, and the right referrals, this program is able to increase a person’s ability to access mental health care and/or other community groups and services where their interests and needs lay. Volunteers/employees who go through this training can facilitate signposting to relevant services by listening to the person's needs and providing information on community groups and health services. This project has the potential to equip communities and individuals with a line of defense, identifying early mental health related behaviours.
