Description

Following the introduction of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, the Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is responsible for administering conservation agreements. Historically, some councils have included conservation agreements in conditions of consent for development.

The BCT is proposing to introduce guidelines for using conservation agreements as conditions of consent. These guidelines will aim to explain how the BCT sees conservation agreements being used alongside other land management or conservation options available to achieve local biodiversity outcomes through development consent conditions.

You are invited to join the BCT for an online information session and Q&A on the proposed guidelines.

Date: Wednesday 10 April 2019

Time: 2.30 – 4.00pm

Web link to access session: https://sustainabilityadvantage.adobeconnect.com/saevents/

The session will consist of a 30-minute presentation followed by 45 minutes reserved for questions and answers.

There will be an opportunity to provide written input on the proposed guidelines following the briefing, however no formal written request for feedback will be circulated. Any written comments should be provided to the BCT by close of business Monday 29 April via info@bct.nsw.gov.au
