Event description
Join us in learning to use a sewing machine to make a beautiful potpourri circle.

About this Event

This is a 2 hour session aimed for adults and children 7 years plus.

The experienced teacher will introduce you to some sewing machine basics including main machine parts, machine threading and simple stitching. We will also practice in regulating and controlling machine speed with the foot pedal and at the end we will create a little potpourri circle with your own design drawn onto in with special fabric markers and crayons that you can use to fragrance your car or home.

ll material is sustainability sourced, fabric and cotton thread is 100% cotton. The potpourri we are using is exclusively homegrown and handmade. Rose, lavender, lime and lemon verbena, palegonias, various types of geranium leaves and flowers, hydrangeas, spearmint and eucalyptus are just some of the plants inside of this nature’s creation.

If at some point in future you decide your potpourri circle served its purpose you can compost it and it will degrade naturally.
