Description

A 3.5 hour interactive workshop ideal for occupational therapists, physiotherapists, support workers, new graduates and students. This hands-on learning experience will provide participants with an introduction to clinical reasoning skills and knowledge necessary for working with and selecting domestic seating (lounge / dining / workplace / office).

Learning outcomes include:

  • Recognise the range of seating types available
  • Explain the basic principles of seating and important considerations for home and the workplace
  • Demonstrate competency in taking basic measurements for seating and safe adjustment of different types of chairs
  • Outline clinical reasoning for seating selection to meet individual needs
