BASIC CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) AND DEFIBRILLATOR USE

Cost (Incl GST): $60 to be paid on the evening (Cash or EFTPOS available)
Target audience: General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Practice staff, Allied Health staff, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers
Overview
A CPR certificate needs to be updated at least annually to comply with Safe Work Australia “First Aid in the Workplace” Code of Practice. The CPR certificate is also a requirement to comply with RACGP practice accreditation and RACGP QI&CPD requirements.
Note: Participants must create a Unique Student Identifier (USI) usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi prior to the event and bring it with them on the night.

- Implement the latest Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines in the execution of CPR
- Describe the principles of CPR
- Adequately assess the unconscious patient in order to provide the safest treatment required
