Description

The Basic Car Maintenance Workshop is for any young person aged 16 - 25 years who live, work, study or volunteer with in the City boundaries of The City of Salisbury and Playford City Council.

Wheels in Motion Participants must attend the Basic Car Maintenance Workshop with in the first 3 months after attending a Road Safety Forum.

All Participants will receive a certificate of participation.
There is a $12.00 cost to attend the workshop

Arrive at 8.45pm for a 9am start.


What we would be looking at covering is basic topics such as:

  • How to change a tyre / Checking tyre pressure & why/ knowing when tyres need to be changed
  • When & Why a car needs to be serviced. What happens when the car is services.
  • Checking oils / water levels and understanding them
  • How to jump start a car
  • Danger of un-road worthy car

Small amount of time will be in a class room setting learning the theory, the remaining of the workshop will be practical.

Participants will be working on cars (example - Chaning a tyre) So please bring suitable clothing and closed shoes.
