Description

An introduction to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured, sick and orphaned birds, with opportunities for a practical demonstration and discussion of scenarios.

This is the recommended course to take for new carers because 80% of animals in ACT Wildlife's care are birds.

Topics will include:

* Identification
* Basic anatomy and life stages
* Diet
* Husbandry
* Housing
* Common injuries and illnesses
* How to release

Notes will be provided after the course.

Tea and coffee are provided. Please some morning tea to share and your own lunch.
