Baroque Ensemble - La Stravaganza
Staff and students from the Early Music Studio present a panorama of seventeenth and eighteenth century Italian Baroque music, showcasing the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music's beautiful collection of period instruments. Works by Vivaldi and Pergolesi are accompanied by rarely heard operatic and instrumental music by Jommelli, Hasse, Farina, Scarani and others. Star soprano Alexandra Toussaint-Jackson appears as guest soloist in this exciting program.
