Join us for our next Haines Education Series event where we will focus on Bariatric Patient Management. This evening will coves specific challenges in caring for the bariatric patient who is medically unwell, in a critical state or deceased.
In the Loddon-Mallee-Murray region, which takes in Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill, 41 per cent of adults are obese so Bendigo Hospital have taken significant measures in ensuring safe patient and staff care. Our guest speaker, Mr Stephen Morley will share experiences from Bendigo Health and will specifically cover guidelines, policies and preventative strategies to support care in the following areas:
- The Bariatric Patient Journey – From admission to discharge
- Critical care for Bariatric Patients who require CPR
- Challenges and solutions for managing a bariatric deceased patient
