Description

Bargain Hunters

  • Your challenge is to purchase second hand items that will earn a profit when later sold at auction.
  • Teams of 2-4 players.
  • $80 to spend.
  • One week to shop.
  • All items auctioned at Kerleys Auction Rooms.
  • $100 entry fee per team.
  • Each team's 'Bargain Hunters Total' will be calculated by adding their auction total to any 'leftover lolly' (unspent money). The team with the highest 'Bargain Hunters Total' will be crowned the winners!

The grand prize

Weekend escape for four in beautiful Queenscliff including two nights accommodation at 'Bon Accord' donated by a friend of Bluebird, $150 dining voucher at 360Q and ice-creams from the Scandinavian Icecream Co.

The fine print

  • Teams consist of 2-4 players.

  • Please nominate a team captain to be the key contact with Bluebird Foundation.

  • Teams must register online at www.bargainhunters.eventbrite.com.au and pay their $100 registration fee by Wednesday 14th June.

  • Rules packs and $80 kitty distribution will take place at the Launch Event. If no team member is available to attend, these may be collected at an alternative time by special arrangement.

  • All second hand items must be purchased between Thursday 15th June and Thursday 22nd June inclusive.

  • All second hand items must be purchased from a registered business that can provide an official receipt. We suggest supporting other local charities by shopping at op shops!

  • All items must be delivered to Kerleys Auction Rooms (185 Moorabool St, Geelong) on Drop-off Day between 1 and 5pm on Thursday 22nd June. If no team member is available to attend, items may be delivered at an alternative time by special arrangement.

  • Items must be recorded on the "Lot List" provided in the rules pack, receipts attached and 'leftover lolly' (unspent money) returned in the envelope provided.

  • Items may be grouped in a maximum of three lots.

  • Kerleys Auction Rooms reserves the right to group or withdraw lots to maintain their minimum business standards.

  • Items will be auctioned by Kerleys Auction Rooms on Tuesday 27th June.

  • All proceeds from the sale of goods go to Bluebird Foundation.

  • Each team's 'Bargain Hunters Total' will be calculated by adding their auction total to any 'leftover lolly' (unspent money). The team with the highest 'Bargain Hunters Total' will be crowned the winners.

  • In the event of a tie, the team who outlayed the lowest amount of money will be the winner.

  • Winners will be announced at the Prize Event on Tuesday 27th June.
