Banyule Bike Skills Sessions - Bike Maintenance Basics Workshop
Sun. 7 May 2017, 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm AEST
This practical bike maintenance workshop will cover some simple things you can do to take care of your bike. Includes repairing a puncture, checking tyre pressure, oiling your chain and more.
This free event is part of the Sustainable Homes and Communities Program. Places are limited and bookings are essential.
The session will be run by professional bike instructors from Bikes At Work.
Can I book into the other Banyule bike skills sessions?
Yes, you are welcome to do one or all of the 1.5 hour sessions on May 7. Here is the schedule:
12:00 - 1:30pm Novice Level
1:45 - 3:15pm Intermediate Level
3:30 - 5:00pm Bike Maintenance Basics
What should I bring?
You will need to bring a bike and helmet in good condition, closed toe footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather and a water bottle.
What if the weather is bad?
In the event of hot weather over 35 degrees, wet or very windy weather the session may be postponed at the instructor’s discretion. In this case you would be notified by phone.
What are my transport options to get there?
Train: Catch the Hurstbridge line train with your bike and get off at Ivanhoe Station.
Bus: The 510 bus to Ivanhoe has a bike rack on the front for passenger bikes.
Parking: There is plenty of parking available if you need to put your bike in the car.
