Description

This workshop is for people living with a disability to find out more about peer support. The workshop will be presented by peer support group facilitators and group members and will cover topics such as:

  • What does peer support mean?
  • What are the benefits from joining a peer support group?
  • What happens at a peer support group meeting?
  • What peer support groups are in my area and how can I join?
  • How can I start my own group and practice peer support daily?

Come along to hear from experienced and knowledgeable peer group facilitators, meet others and find out how peer support can help you! This is a free event with lunch and light refreshments provided. People with disability, their family members and support workers are all welcome.
