Ballina & Byron Clinical Society Event - Palliative Care
Event Information
About this event
Network face-to-face with other local clinicians, enjoy a two-course dinner, and hear from Dr Ken Marr and the Tweed/Byron/Ballina Palliative Care Service about ways you can best support patients with a life limiting illness. This event provides a platform to hear from a range of different services that make up and wrap around the multidisciplinary palliative care team. Catch up with colleagues, ask lots of questions, openly discuss local palliative care referral options, and dine in style at Beef and Beach Restaurant Lennox Head.

- Identify the medical, cultural and spiritual aspects of palliative care to maximise the opportunities available within a multidisciplinary palliative care team.
- Explore initial treatment approaches to manage somatic pain, neuropathic pain, and visceral pain.
