Ballarat Welcome Film Festival offers you three extraordinary films over two days.

The Festival will be launched at 6pm on Friday 23rd June by Youth Advisors from Centre for Multicultural Youth.

Friday 630pm Film screening (Drink and popcorn included Friday): Cast From the Storm is a story of teenage refugees: Sometimes the True Stories are Better than the Made up Stories!

Saturday Afternoon Film screenings. Feel free to come early and purchase afternoon tea at Saltbush Kitchen:

Saturday 3pm Welcome and Introductions folowed by 315pm Screening: Molly and Mobarak (2003 Documentary 1h 25m). The emotional journey of a young Hazara refugee from Afghanistan who struggles to adjust to life in regional NSW.

After Spring - This film will no longer been shown at the Film Festival and has been replaced with Molly and Mobarak.

Saturday 5pm Screening: One family. Two wars. Three countries. What does it take to forge a new life far from home? Filmed over 10 years, Constance on the Edge is an unflinchingly honest portrayal of one refugee family’s resettlement story in Australia.
