Description

PLEASE NOTE OUR CHANGE OF VENUE: ALL PRESENTATIONS FOR 2019 WILL BE HOSTED AT THE EASTWOOD LEISURE COMPLEX

Nothing brightens your day like a close encounter with wildlife - the chatter of fairy wrens, the flutter of passing butterflies and the beauty of blue banded bees. Encourage the neighbouring wildlife into your urban garden with a selection of attractive native plants
from the forests, grasslands and wetlands around Ballarat and discover the many delights and benefits of including local plants in your garden.

Date: Wednesday 20 February
Time: 12.30 - 1.30 pm (optional tour 1.30 – 3.00pm)
Venue: Eastwood Leisure Complex, 20 Eastwood St, Ballarat Central

Garden and Nursery Tour: Join us after the talk for an optional visit to the indigenous garden bed at Ballarat Botanical Gardens and visit the City of Ballarat Indigenous Plant Nursery. We will car pool from the library.

Presenter: Stephanie Davison
Stephanie works in Science Outreach at Federation University, is a volunteer at the City of Ballarat Indigenous Plant Nursery and an active member of the Wattle Flat Pootilla Landcare Group. Her talk is based on the practical experience of growing and observing indigenous plants and animals in gardens and natural landscapes around Ballarat.
