About this Event
Journey into the wild wonders of our ocean in an immersive and magical experience with beautiful puppets and captivating visual effects.
'Badu' is an Indigenous word meaning 'water', with the show reflecting on the wonder and preciousness of aquatic life in Sydney Harbour. Audience members will meet a lively cast of aquatic creatures including humpback whales, grey nurse and bull sharks, stingrays, musical mulletfish, leafy sea dragons and bioluminescent jellyfish.
Performed in the round and developed in collaboration with First Nation artists, Badu is a companion piece to Duba (meaning 'ground') – showing at Carriageworks in Redfern.
Recommended for families with kids aged 4–12 years.
Important information: The museum is a COVID-safe environment. The performance will be socially distanced with spaced seating in family pods with additional cleaning between sessions. Hand sanitiser will also be available.
