Description

WORKSHOP: CREATE A WILDLIFE HAVEN IN YOUR BACKYARD

Did you know that your backyard, balcony or common area can provide a habitat for frogs, lizards, small birds, microbats, butterflies and native bees?

Learn how to create a wildlife ‘stepping stone’ that helps link larger habitats together.

In this free information session you will hear about the concept of habitat connectivity and learn practical and affordable ways to support wildlife around your own home- such as strategic placing of plants and rocks.

  • We will supply tea, coffee and snacks

  • Free parking on Carwar Avenue or at 3 Bridges Community Centre

  • Each attendee will take home a free bush tucker shrub to start their backyard habitat

Places are limited- please register here to ensure yourself a seat.

Brought to you by Georges River Council, the Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils, Sydney Coastal Councils Group and NSW Local Land Services Greater Sydney.
