Event description

Description

With the year ahead in mind, we are pleased to be kick starting our program of events with a ‘Back to Business’ function on Wednesday 28 February 2018 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

Back to Business is a great way to start the new year, bringing Canberra businesses together in a relaxed forum to network and listen to business leaders comment on economic, social and other important issues. This year our topic is The Business of the Arts and Sport.

Ms Louise Withers, co-producer of the Australian production of MAMMA MIA! The Musical will speak on The Business of the Arts. With the success of the national premier of MAMMA MIA! in Canberra, Ms Withers will talk about the business side productions, the economic contribution including tourism, marketing, and other related benefits and risks using MAMMA MIA! in Canberra as the back drop.

Ms Jayne Hrdlicka is the President and Chair of Tennis Australia. Australia hosted Ukraine in the Fed Cup World Group II First Round in Canberra earlier this month and Ms Hrdlicka will talk about bringing this world class event to Canberra and the business these international tournaments bring to a region. She will also touch on the Australian Open and its importance to Melbourne and Australia more broadly.

Don’t miss your chance to hear these two amazing women speak. After the presentations you will have the opportunity to forge new business connections and enjoy delicious refreshments.
