Baby Play @ Launceston Library
Event Information
About this Event
Join us for a fun and relaxing six week floor program for pre-crawling babies (or those with limited crawling) aged 0-12 months and their parents or carers. Baby Play is especially designed for new and first-time parents and those wishing to connect with other families in a friendly environment.
Baby Play focuses on the bond between adult and baby and includes nursery rhymes, sensory songs, book-sharing and lullabies as well as simple tips and ideas for early literacy development at home.
One session of Baby Play is held each week for a period of six weeks. Participants are encouraged to attend as many of the 6 sessions as they can. Baby Play will be held on the following dates:
Session 1 - Monday 15 February
Session 2 - Monday 22 February
Session 3 - Monday 1 March
[Please note Monday 8 March is a Public Holiday, so Baby Play will not be held on this date]
Session 4 - Monday 15 March
Session 5 - Monday 22 March
Session 6 - Monday 29 March
Booking is essential for session 1 only, which will register you for the full program. It is recommended that participants leave any older children in alternative care so that they can focus on their baby during the program.
Please note:
As this program is currently modified to meet public gathering restrictions, we have limited spaces available. We ask that you please register here, or call your local library if you need help making a booking. If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know so that others don’t miss out.
Please help us run a successful holiday program by:
Registering all participants as we cannot allow walk-ins
Practicing good hygiene (we will provide sanitiser for you)
Keeping at a safe 1.5m distance from others, and assisting children with this.
Not visiting the library if you are unwell
Thanks for your help. We look forward to seeing you.
