Event description

Description

Babes at Gallery 1855.

A mid-morning cultural experience designed for parents and caregivers of infants and young children.

Led by prominent SA illustrators Sally Heinrich and Danny Snell

Bring your young ones along for a talk and tour of our Fringe Festival exhibition Décalage, followed by morning tea. Also hear how Danny and Sally successfully integrated parenthood into their creative careers. A supervised simple craft activity will be organised for children old enough to participate during the presentation.

This event is associated with Gallery 1855 Fringe Festival exhibition Décalage. Curated by Sally Heinrich, South Australian book illustrators explore the liminal space between text and image, and how this relationship can be stretched and challenged. Décalage is a French word, used to express this space. Featuring the work of 10 established and emerging illustrators, including: Georgina Chadderton, Linda Catchlove, David Kennett, Donna Gynell, Amanda Graham, Danny Snell, Jennifer Harrison, Timothy Ide, Mandy Foot, Sally Heinrich. Exhibition concludes 16 March 2019.
