3:23 in the morning and I'm awake because
my great-great-grandchildren won’t let me sleep.
My great-great-grandchildren ask me in dreams
What did you do while the planet was plundered?
What did you do when the Earth was unraveling?
Surely you did something when the seasons started failing,
as the mammals, reptiles, birds were all dying.
you fill the streets with protest
when democracy was stolen?
What did you do once you knew?
RRaFT Educators and the WA Community of Awakening the Dreamer Facilitators are offering a weekend training opportunity for people who want to organise and/or facilitate Symposiums within their community.
The two-day Symposium Facilitators Training (Sat 25th 9 - 8pm and Sun 10 - 5pm) will equip you to create and facilitate symposiums with a team within your community. You will deepen your relationship with the Symposium material and develop your capacity to take groups through the transformational journey of the Symposium. You can also expect to expand your own confidence and leadership for any projects you take on.
You will become deeply connected to the change-agent you currently are, and expand your ability to impact change in your own life and the life of those around you.
As a facilitator you have the materials and support available to integrate this message into your existing projects.
What is the Symposium?
If you haven’t yet participated in a Symposium, we invite you to contact Jaime to explore how you can experience the Symposium prior to the training weekend. Check out the trailer on www.awakeningthedreamer.org
The Awakening the Dreamer; Changing the Dream Symposium takes a fresh look at our most critical current concerns - environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fulfillment - and explores and exposes what connects them. A unique, half- to one-day workshop experience, the Symposium offers insights into the nature of our world, with leading-edge information, dynamic group interactions and inspiring video clips from some of the world's most respected thinkers and doers, including Paul Hawken, Desmond Tutu, Julia Butterfly Hill, Brian Swimme and Thomas Berry.
The aim of the Symposium is to explore how we can move in a new direction, by pulling together on an unprecedented scale towards an era of interconnected action and collective wellbeing.
Participants gain a new perspective on the world and clarity on their stand for the future. Not just a position – another set of facts backing them further into a corner they’re familiar with – but a fresh stand which calls them into committed global citizenship.
Again we invite and urge you to join us as we face the biggest challenge of our times.
