A Festival Celebrating Culture, Community and Country... with Music - Performance - Art - Food - Storytelling - Dance - Sound Healing - Ceremony - Ritual - Yoga - Meditation - Earth-Centred Practices - Traditional Healing & so much more.

"This long connection to people in place is a unique gift to Australia and the world. Our shared custodianship of our nations requires of you and me, that we be connected and in good shape." Tina Brown, Ngunnawal elder and co-collaborator of Awakening Ancient Futures Gathering

We honour and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we will be gathering on, and their ancestors past and present, and all those who have contributed and are walking this path with us. We welcome you to celebrate with us as we bring forward wisdom of the past with modern practices from across cultures towards a sustainable future.

The countdown is on... We excited to invite you to join us for the 2nd Awakening Ancient Futures Gathering as we come together as family and friends to celebrate culture, connect to country and cultivate compassion and creativity for the heart of our country, the healing of our land, for our future as United Nations.

Journey with us as we gather to powerfully remember our roots, reconnect to our natural rhythms and collectively awaken to the vision of a healed, united, and sustainable future, for this nation and all nations.

Why should you join us for this Festival?

We live in busy times where the space to connect, create and care for ourselves and eachother seems to decrease everyday. As you drive through the gates at Ingelara Farm Retreat you will be creating this space for you as you are surrounded by majestic mountains, hear the blissful sounds of the bush and feel nourished from the inside out.

Awakening Ancient Futures is a full-day immersive experience of building community, sharing culture and fostering connection to celebrate together, so that we can draw on our ancient wisdom for modern solutions towards a more sustainable, peace-filled future.

We invite you to come and spend the day and evening with us, with the Elders, the youth, healers, artists and musicians that we have gathered to:

  • SHARE the wisdom and knowledge from across cultures

  • RECEIVE insights from the past towards a more sustainable future

  • CONNECT with nature and community

How will the day flow and what will you experience?

We warmly invite you to arrive by 9am to create time and space for you to prepare. We will then enter in ceremony through the Narrangunnawali (Wellbeing) path by the lake and perform self-blessings with the elements and flow into the traditional Welcome Ceremony.

You will be welcomed and guided by our traditional custodians and translators of culture through song and ceremony.

Enjoy flow with the elements – fire, water, earth and air – and experience:

  • healing vibrations of sound and music

  • weaving, beading and creative expression

  • walking the land

  • bush foods and herbs

  • yarnin’ circles

  • traditional forms of meditation, movement and dance

  • traditional care practices for mother earth

  • fire ceremony and musical celebration

  • Children’s activities

Be nourished from the inside out with delicious food and nurturing vibes on site!

Food and drink will be available to purchase for a small cost, enjoy nourishment from the grounds at Ingelara with hearty soup and stew, bread, apple pie, apple juice, native teas, chai and coffee available throughout the day and evening. You are also welcome to bring your own supplies if preferred.
