CASA Aviation Safety Advisors will be delivering a new AvSafety seminar in 2021 titled “Weather to fly”
This seminar expands on some concepts covered in the previous seminar as well as introducing new topics. Discussions will include:
• Dangers of flying into IMC as a VFR pilot
• Flight Planning
• Tips on how to operate safely as we emerge from the COVID crisis
The presentation will look at the dangers of flying into IMC as a VFR pilot and focuses on ways of preventing it happening through good flight planning and en route decision making. It also covers the potential safety implications of emerging from low activity period during COVID, with tips on how to make sure you and your aircraft are safe to fly again. The information is designed to enhance and refresh pilots knowledge at all levels.
The seminar will review the resources available and provide practical hints and tips to help pilots operate safely and efficiently.
The seminars are an ideal opportunity for industry to interact with CASA, discuss local issues and ask questions of the regulator.
