Event description

Description

Join us for the fourth instalment in the Aviation Cultures series of conferences. We welcome participants with an interest in aviation from academia, cultural institutions, industry and the community. Our focus is on creating shared conversations through talks, forums, discussion and networking. Aviation Cultures Mk IV offers a diverse and fascinating series of presentations, ranging from 5-minute ‘Blitz’ talks to 45-minute keynotes by our invited international guests, Dr Alex M Spencer from the US National Air and Space Museum, Washington DC, and Associate Professor Dorthe Gert Simondsen from the Saxo Institute, Copenhagen. There is also a panel discussion on the future of aviation cultures and a half-day symposium on the difficult topic of ‘A national aviation collection for Australia?’ The conference will be followed by two optional aviation heritage tours. Free registration!
