The Department of Communities is providing sessions for disability service providers and behaviour support practitioners about the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices in Funded Disability Services Policy (available on the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices website).
If you are a new provider or behaviour support practitioner, or if you have recently commenced service provision in Western Australia, it is recommended that you register for this session.
This free 90-minute session will cover:
- an explanation of the scope and circumstances where the Policy applies
- an overview of regulated restrictive practices requiring authorisation under the Policy
- explanation of key components of the Quality Assurance Panel process required to authorise regulated restrictive practices
- an overview of the principles for the use of restrictive practices central to the authorisation process
- an opportunity for questions and answers.
The session will be facilitated via the Microsoft Teams online meeting platform. If registering on behalf of others, please include attendee name/s so we know who will be participating in the session.
