Description

Who killed 13 year old Bertha Shippen?

A true crime murder mystery that has captivated the country since New Year’s Day, 1902, when Bertha was found brutally murdered. Was it Mary, Bertha’s 24 year old sister who went to trial for the murder but was acquitted. Was it Mary’s boyfriend Gustav, or maybe Bertha’s father who had a history of violence?

The small township of Towitta on the outskirts of the Barossa Valley was never the same after that fateful event.

Join us for the Towitta Tragedy Author Talks with Richard Dutschke, where he discusses the research on suspects of the tragedy that was researched by Ron Nitschke- nephew of Mary's boyfriend, Gustav Nitschke.

**Mr Dutschke will be available for book signing and will be selling the book at the event for $20

**Tea, Coffee and light refreshments will be available for attendees of the event.
