Event description

Description

In April 1947 George Orwell began Nineteen Eighty-Four, his last and possibly greatest work. Orwell was forty-four years old and suffering from tuberculosis, the disease that eventually took his life. Author, historian and speechwriter Dennis Glover explores this period of Orwell’s life with a unique and extraordinary new book. Combining history and drama Glover presents the reader with a unique portrait of Orwell, one of literature’s most unique and beloved writers.

Dennis will be in conversation with journalist and broadcaster Annabel Crabb.
