In 2017, Australia has launched free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations with Hong Kong, Peru, and the Pacific Alliance (a regional trading bloc comprising Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru), and is working towards launching FTA negotiations with the European Union. Australia and Indonesia continue their negotiations towards concluding the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership.

Join us for a discussion of these and other FTAs with Australia’s Chief FTA negotiators:

• Ms Alison Burrows, Special Negotiator – EU FTA, Office of Trade Negotiations, DFAT

• Ms Trudy Witbreuk, Chief Negotiator for the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership; and head of the Free Trade Agreement Division, DFAT

• Mr Andrew Jory, head of the Goods and Investment Branch, Office of Trade Negotiations, DFAT

Our negotiators are keen to hear from the Western Australian business community on impediments and opportunities for trade and investment in these markets.
