Event description
The Fifth Annual Symposium on Fatherhood Research in Australia.

About this Event

Interested researchers, practitioners and policymakers are invited to contribute to the fifth annual symposium on Fatherhood Research in Australia, to be held at Deakin University’s Melbourne city campus on May 7th and 8th 2020.

About the Symposium

The symposium is an annual opportunity to build and consolidate collaborations between researchers and practitioners who work with fathers. The event is co-hosted by the University of Newcastle’s Family Action Centre, and Deakin’s Centre for the Social and Early Emotional Development. A range of disciplines are represented.

Join us for keynote presentations, workshops and snapshot summaries that showcase research and father-inclusive programs from around Australia.

The symposium is organised by the Australian Fatherhood Research Consortium, which seeks to advance the science of fatherhood; inform practice and policy that supports men and their families; and, promote healthy inclusion of fathers in family life.

We invite you to join us to build effective collaborations so that we may further the evidence base on fathering. Refreshments and lunch will be provided both days. Registration is essential.

Find more information, visit the AFRS webpage.
