Australian and Korean Film Production: A growing industry for innovation, collaboration and trade

About this Event

Australia Korea Young Professionals Association (AKYPA) and United Square (USQ) present a panel discussion with experts on the global impact of cinema and the opportunities in film between Australia and Korea.

After the panel event, early bird registrations* will be offered a free ticket to watch the screening of the movie Extreme Job, part of The Korean Film Festival (KOFFIA) at The Capitol. This is limited to the first 30 registrations. Other participants are welcome to book and join the screening at their own cost.

Panellists include:

  • David Gim - Producer, Co-founder and Managing Director - Continuance Pictures
  • Russell Edwards - Film critic, Advisor to the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and Tutor, Asian Cinemas at RMIT
  • Special Guest: Mr KIM Sunghyo - Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Melbourne will address the gathering.
