About Damien Halliday

In Damien's role as the AusIndustry Regional Manager for Adelaide, he provide businesses and collaborators across Greater Adelaide with information and advice about assistance programs from the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. From the Barossa to Kangaroo Island, he works closely with the AusIndustry Regional Managers in Northern SA, Southern SA and the Northern Territory, and other broader networks across AusIndustry.

Damien has a background in innovation, research and product development having worked in the commercialisation arm of a Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) and as a CSIRO scientist. Damien has worked within the Australian Intelligence Community on national security issues, and PM&C and the National Indigenous Australians Agency to shape major economic initiatives for Australia’s first peoples.

His experience in AusIndustry has been in program management and delivery of the R&D Tax Incentive, Entrepreneurs’ Programme, an import concession scheme and community benefit programs.Damien finds it rewarding to be in a role that focuses on direct connection to businesses, helping them to understand available government support so they can innovate, grow and be more competitive.
