Description

The James McCusker Orchestra is an advanced training orchestra for experienced players AMEB level 5-7. The Orchestra works towards regular performances at venues & community events including at Llewellyn Hall, Floriade, the National Eisteddfod, and festivals in the ACT and wider region. The James McCusker Orchestra is open to violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba & percussion. It is expected that the members in the orchestra take additional individual instrumental tuition in addition to orchestra.

The Canberra Youth Orchestra is the premier youth symphony orchestra in the ACT and wider region, bringing together the region’s finest young musicians. The CYO performs major orchestral works as part of their annual Llewellyn Hall Concert Series. The performance standard for CYO is AMEB 8 or equivalent, or AMEB 7+ for woodwind and brass. It is expected that the members in the orchestra take additional individual instrumental tuition in addition to orchestra. CYO is open to violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba & percussion.
