About this Workshop

Attracting volunteers and committee members is an important part of non-profit organisation's 'business as usual' but sometimes it feels like you are losing them as fast they arrive or you simply don't have enough to effectively run the organisation.

This session provides ideas to help you identify and attract the right volunteers and committee members for your organisation and over time structure your team/ committee so it is successful in supporting your cause well into the future.

What you will learn

Following the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Structure committees to support your activities
  • Create a volunteering plan
  • Develop volunteer position descriptions
  • Prepare an induction checklist
  • Better retain volunteers through a volunteer recognition program
  • Have options for identifying and finding committee members

This session is a practical, fun and informative session, which will provide participants with the knowledge and tools to be more effective in obtaining and retaining help to support their cause.
