Find out how the ATO is protecting honest businesses

In November and December, we will be visiting businesses in Croydon VIC. Our visits are part of our work to protect honest businesses from unfair competition. We want to ensure businesses do the right thing and are not disadvantaged by those engaging in black economy behaviour.

While most businesses do the right thing, some get an unfair advantage by not meeting all their tax and superannuation obligations. We will be talking to local businesses to understand how they operate and identify where help is required. If needed, we will also take further action to address people who are deliberately doing the wrong thing. All businesses should get a fair go.
