These workshops will assist teachers to integrate pronunciation into everyday classroom teaching and excursions. They include:
• Assessing Intelligibility: Participants will examine research into issues affecting judgements of intelligibility and the implications for assessment task design
• Teaching strategies for developing speaking and listening skills for diverse language groups within a class: Participants will plan strategies and trial resources for integrating pronunciation in program activities which address common listening and pronunciation problems
• Using media technology: Participants will have the opportunity to trial ICT skills including A/V recording to provide feedback and 'realistic' evidence on spoken performance
• Pronunciation toolkit: Participants will receive a pronunciation toolkit including a book and access to a Dropbox site with worksheets, A/V materials and the option for uploading trial videos for sharing and feedback.
