Description

The Australian Sports Commission's Assessor Training Program is designed to assist people who will be assessing Coaches and Officials within their sport as part of a Coach or Official Accreditation. The program is designed to assist assessors improve their skills in how to plan and organise an assessment and assessing the competence of a coach or official. The program has been aligned with many of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment competencies.

The workshop will presented by Darryl Durham (Optimum Edge).


Darryl Durham Bio Darryl Durham has been involved in the development and delivery of sport education programs since 1989. He has worked at the Australian Sports Commission from 1995 – 2012 in many different roles all having sport education as their core business.

He now consults through his own business Optimum Edge to the sport and private sectors on the development of curriculum and the delivery of training. He has worked with many NSOs in the delivery of Presenter, Assessor and Mentor training.

Darryl has represented Australia as the Assistant Coach Australian Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team at the World Cup 2002 and the Paralympics in Athens 2004 with medal success at both these events. He is passionate about working with clients who wish to enhance their presenter and facilitation skills.
