Assessment, Planning and Critical Reflection
Event Information
About this event
Do you have questions about assessment and planning and critical reflection? Do you find yourself unsure about what to document and how, effectively? Are you tired of being told different things only to feel more confused?
In this workshop, I'll explain everything you need to know about assessment, planning and critical reflection. I'll show you examples and I'll provide you with tools, templates and explanations for practical implementation.
You will learn how document and implement individual cycles of planning and how use the ICPs to inform your group curriculum in a way that's meaningful, authentic and responsive to the learning and developmental needs of the children in your care. This is the perfect time to learn the ropes or to refresh yourself and to start the year with strong systems and processes in place.
This workshop comprises 2 parts:
Part 1: approximately 1.15 hour, informative session in which we will revisit the basics; we will deconstruct each step of the planning cycle, look at simple examples of how to document each of the steps and discuss how to draw upon individual planning cycles to develop authentic classroom programs.
Part 2: approximately 1.15 hour. In this session, we will cover all essential elements of the entire assessment and planning process. This includes planning long term, designing effective and responsive daily schedule and embedding critical reflection in your program and practice.
Post workshop - you'll receive workshop info & the tools and templates covered during the workshop.
