Assertive Communications
Overview
Ever feel like you just not getting your point across or that people are taking you for granted?
Assertive communication can strengthen your work and social relationships and reduce stress. A polite but assertive ‘no’ to excessive requests from others will enable you to avoid overloading yourself with work and promote balance in your life.
Assertive communication can also help you handle difficult family, friends and co-workers more easily, reducing drama and anxiety.
So why not wander along to the free training offered by your Union, access one of your 5 days paid leave that you are entitled to so you can attend.
Please note: if you are no longer able to attend the course as planned, you will need to directly inform your manager of the cancellation of trade union training leave for that day.
