Event description

Description

ASSEMBLING LIFE will be an ethereal, immersive installation by artist, Nastia Gladushchenko that will evolve over ten days.

Each of us assembles our life from memories, experiences, people and places, and the simple act of weaving delicate wildflowers and grasses together will allow each participant to contribute a part of themselves to the piece.

By collaborating with the public to build this installation, Nastia re-imagines time honoured traditions to give the community new ways to connect through this shared experience.

Please join us for FREE WEAVING SESSIONS, where participants will create elements for this collaborative installation. Sessions will be held at Camperdown Commons (31A Mallett St, Camperdown) on:

Saturday 17 June, 1-4pm
Sunday 18 June 2-4pm (for kids 10 – 16yrs)
Wednesday 21 June, 6pm – 8pm
