NOTE: This is a ticketed event. Tickets are free, but you must obtain a ticket to gain entry to this event. Tickets are limited to 40.
This month we explore the inner planets of the Solar System from Mercury to Mars. These are the rocky planets which are similar to the Earth in composition. We also look at the new class of Dwarf planets which include Pluto, Ceres and Eris.
You will be asked to leave the lecture theatre immediately after, so that the seats can be cleaned for the ASSA General Meeting that starts at 8pm. You will need to obtain a separate ticket to attend the General Meeting.
About Colin: Colin is employed as a biomedical technician at St. Andrew’s Hospital. He is a Life Member of ASSA and has been the Society's Beginner's Councillor for 16 years. He owns a Sirius observatory in Gawler where his main interest is Astrophotography. He is also participating in an international amateur search for habitable exoplanets and currently has an unconfirmed sub-Jupiter discovery around GL3470.
