Event description

Description

The Australian Screen Production Education and Research Association (ASPERA) 2018 Annual Conference will be held at VCA Film and Television, University of Melbourne, Australia, between 27 and 29 June 2018.

This year’s conference theme is Screen Interventions. The conference will engage in the ways that screen production can be used to ‘intervene’ in wider cultural, social and political ideas and debates; how interventions might be made with, by and/or for the screen; and what interventions have taken place in screen production education and research.

Presenters and keynotes have been invited to interpret this theme variously.

We are delighted that Katrina Sedgwick (Director and CEO ACMI) and Tony Ayres (Screenwriter, Director and Founding Member, Matchbox Pictures) will be joining us as keynotes for the conference.

Please note: tickets for the conference dinner on Wednesday 27 June must be purchased as an additional ticket type.
